Director and CEO

Mr. Ferhan Rasul is an accomplished and dynamic senior business professional, currently serving as the Director and CEO of Algae International Ltd. With a strong passion for sustainable practices and deep knowledge of the retail and construction sectors, Mr. Rasul consistently delivers exceptional results in boosting sales and driving profitability. With a B.A. in Business Accounting & Finance earned in 2005, Mr. Rasul possesses a solid academic foundation.

As an entrepreneurial leader, Mr. Rasul has successfully directed organisations, including Food 4 Thought Ltd and Trend Transformations. Currently, he serves as CEO of Bio-Energy International Ltd and Director of Trends Development Ltd, driving innovation and growth. With exceptional client service and deep retail expertise, Mr. Rasul capitalises on opportunities with strategic thinking and creativity. His financial planning and management expertise enable him to deliver sound advice and engaging presentations.

Drawing upon his extensive financial expertise, SHK Abdulla seeks to introduce investment and business opportunities that yield economic benefits and positively impact the environment through the introduction of algae-based products, which hold tremendous potential for businesses worldwide.

With an ardent desire to make a lasting impact in the professional world, SHK Abdulla has garnered invaluable experience as a Business Development Officer within his family’s enterprise. In this role, he diligently studied and identified sustainable and profitable business opportunities across various industries, augmenting his already vast business knowledge and expertise. Currently, as a senior management reporting analyst at a renowned Oil and Gas establishment, SHK Abdulla showcases his exceptional skills and expertise. His role involves critical analysis and reporting on key management information, contributing to the efficient functioning of the organisation.

Dr. Emily C Preedy

Head of Research & Development

Dr Emily C Preedy, an esteemed leader and bioengineer at API, is driving innovation in the field of algae products and bionanotechnology, dedicated to creating a greener, cleaner future. With a distinguished degree in bioengineering from Swansea University, Emily’s exceptional journey showcases her unwavering commitment to mitigating industrial carbon emissions and revolutionising science, research, and industry.

As a Research Officer and Contractor at Swansea University, Emily has successfully translated lab-based concepts into large-scale projects, leading the design and fabrication of Photobioreactors (PBRs) utilising microalgae cultures. Collaborating with industry leaders and managing budgets, Emily has achieved remarkable milestones and played a pivotal role in reducing carbon emissions. Beyond research, Emily has mentored and supervised students, inspiring a passion for science and environmental stewardship. Continuous improvement is a priority for Emily, demonstrated through her engagement in professional development programs.

Emily’s adaptability and curiosity fuel her success. As a bilingual individual and fluent Welsh speaker, she embraces diversity and inclusivity. Recognised for her contributions to bionanotechnology, Emily has published extensively in prestigious journals. Jack Wade

Senior Technician and Researcher

Jack Wade is a highly motivated and knowledgeable bioengineer contributing to the mission of API in providing green products for a greener world. With a strong educational background in chemical engineering and bioscience from Swansea University, Jack possesses a diverse skill set encompassing molecular biology, microbiology, and general laboratory techniques. As a workshop technician for the Swansea University RICE project, Jack plays a vital role in the cultivation, analysis, and extraction of valuable products from algae cultures. His expertise extends to operating large-scale photobioreactors and developing techniques for biomass and pigment extraction.

During his tenure as a research assistant at Procoll, Jack excelled in molecular biology, microbiology, and large-scale processing techniques, contributing to the production of high-quality collagen products. His responsibilities included genetic engineering, product purification, and the training of research students. Jack’s experience as a field officer at Bionema Ltd involved conducting efficacy testing of biopesticides, organising field trials, and maintaining cultures. He demonstrated strong leadership skills by supervising new staff and taking responsibility for scientific studies.

Sales & Marketing Executive

Meet Puneet Narwal, an accomplished marketing professional with a strong focus on business growth and expansion. With 7 years of experience, Puneet specialises in digital marketing strategies, campaign management, and driving performance through analytics.

Puneet holds an MSc in International Business Management from Swansea University and a BSc in Hospitality Management. His expertise spans ABM strategies, project management, stakeholder management, and revenue funnel management. Proficient in marketing automation and various CRM tools, Puneet ensures effective execution. Having excelled as a Growth Marketing Team Lead at OLX Autos, Puneet achieved significant improvements in ad relevancy, engagement rates, and cost per acquisition. His contributions to brand awareness and revenue generation are equally notable.
